The PlacesForBikes City Ratings program is a data-driven approach to evaluate, identify and compare the best U.S. cities and towns for bicycling to help city leaders develop strategies for improvement and make biking better for everyone.
Setting a new standard for defining and measuring great places for biking, the City Ratings score is based on two primary factors: Network Analysis and Community Perceptions. Relying on a variety of data sources and community feedback, points are assigned on a scale of 0 to 100, with each factor weighted according to its importance to making biking better.
